The Miele Creative Story

The Miele Creative came about at the beginning of 2022, where I started to dream of my own photography business. Creating my own business and being in charge of everything, I wanted to have a name that meant something very special. So, I started brainstorming…

As a child and through my teen years, I had the best relationship with my grandma. She used to sing us songs and lullabies, laugh with and at us, celebrate our wins and push our creative side out to the light. She loved photos, she believed that every photo captured love, the hearts of people, authentic smiles and beautiful memories. Her love for photos shed upon me greatly, which made me want to incorporate her memory through this business. My grandma passed in 2018 and it hit all of our family pretty hard. As a child, she used to sing me this one specific song..

“I’ll be loving you honey. Do you love me too, honey?”

I would sing this song with her all the time. The word honey was pretty big, she used to always call all us kids ‘honey’ and so it held deep in my heart. After pondering on these memories, I knew that was the word I wanted to incorporate in my Business name.



Given our Italian heritage, I began searching the word ‘honey’ in Italian. This is where I come across ‘Miele’, meaning honey. Since that moment, ‘Miele Creative’ was born. Mi-el-e holds a sweet message, it holds heart, it holds mission and its purely purpose-led.
